Johnny Bekaert is a graphic designer and illustrator. His designs have been published in design magazines and design books in the United States, Spain, Japan, Russia, France, Romania, Germany, Bosnia, Mexico, Finland, Czech Republic, Italy, Brazil and South Korea. In 2011, the totality of his drawing work (2004-2012) was published in Brazilian by Mito Design: ‘Illustraçao Psicopata’. His graphic work and the 30 typefaces he designed were compiled in the publication ‘Font Design’ (2018). This was published in 2020 in Brazil by Mito Design under the title ‘Design de Fonte’. Since 2009, with Michel Michiels, he is co-curator of graphic exhibitions at the ‘Maison de l’Image’Brussels.

Zijn ontwerpen zijn gepubliceerd in designtijdschriften en designboeken in de Verenigde Staten, Spanje, Japan, Rusland, Frankrijk, Roemenië, Duitsland, Bosnië, Mexico, Finland, Tsjechië, Italië, Brazilië en Zuid-Korea. In 2011 werd de totaliteit van zijn tekenwerk (2004-2012) uitgegeven in het Braziliaans door Mito Design: ‘Illustraçao Psicopata’. Zijn grafisch werk en de 30 lettertypes die hij heeft ontworpen werden gebundeld in de uitgave ’Font Design’ (2018).
